Tasman Industries has used polyurethane foam in the movie set and parade float industry for many years to make caves, rock sculptures and figures for applications such “The X-Files”, “Flintstones”, “Snow Buddies”, Heineken Beer Commercials and Vancouver’s annual “Santa Clause Parade” to mention a few.
Due to the fact that polyurethane foam dries in seconds, it can be sprayed into almost any shape and then be final carved, sanded, painted and even fiberglassed. Typically we will spray onto a rough structure made of chicken wire and building paper or burlap. If a more durable finished is required, we can spray a fast set coating which is also dry in seconds which saves time and money.
The only limit is your imagination.
